Do you see what I see…

Ink blot art never fails to entertain. It is a simple technique that really implores the imagination.

This exercise began using watered down food colouring although ink would work perfectly. We used a good quality water colour paper, a blob of colour and a plastic drinking straw.

With a quick blow through the straw amazing patterns emerged.

The artists were then encouraged to look around at their friends work and suggest what they saw in eachothers ink blots. It was quite reminiscent of finding shapes in a cloud filled day!

When the ink blots were dry, the artists added details using markers and coloured pencils to create their very own world of art.
